Sr. Lois Darold

My last year as principal of SJVA was 1992. The following year, I served as the Associate Vicar for Education in the Archdiocese of NY. Family responsibilities required me to move to NJ. Since 1994, I have been caring for elderly family members and serving as Director of Development for my religious community. In this capacity, I raise funds for our retired Sisters and our projects with the poor. I also maintain our Sisters' webpage. Please visit: baptistines.home.att.net. I am now at Mt. Hello to my 1st graduating class! While rummaging around the net to check up on Staten Island (I've moved to Jersey) I came across the site on your 10th reunion. It was great to see where everyone is and how well you all have done. I left Villa last year after 13 years to move to NJ and am teaching at very small school in Ocean. I teach middle school and have boys!!!!! It's very different but a nice change. I can't believe someone came up with that picture of me, Shep and Mrs. Roman in your uniforms! What a day, any thing to raise money. It was nice to be remembered if only for my clanging bracelets (what bracelets???). I think of many of you often because you were the first I saw all the way through Villa. I'd love to hear from anyone who would like to write. In 1993, I received my MA from Middlebury College in Vermont, with a specialization in the Italian Language. I have been teaching Italian at Iona College in New Rochelle, NY, St. Peter's College in Jersey City, NJ and presently, at St. Vincent de Paul School in Stirling, NJ. I also teach Theology at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY. I currently reside in Gladstone, NJ.
